Fall type weather has finally hit San Diego. Well, let’s be real, it’s probably here for about a week. But, on this particular Sunday in December, it was definitely cool enough for me to do some layering with this outfit.
Starting with the first layer is a thrifted Express button up print shirt. I found this piece at a Goodwill in Washington D.C. for $2.00. By the way, it’s a men’s shirt. Remember, when thrifting, roam the entire store. There are goodies to be found in every section.
My best piece of this layering is this gorgeous blazer! For the longest, I have had a navy blue wool blazer with gold buttons on my thrift wish list. Yes, my wish list is very specific! I recently found this gorgeous blazer at a Savers in Las Vegas. The price – $5.99! Yes, that is a SCORE. I love everything about this blazer, especially the lapel detail.
Layering complete, I added these hunter green Faded Glory tights/jeggings that I have had since last season. You may remember seeing a maroon pair here. I purchased these tights for $11.00 from Walmart of all places, but they are the BEST! They are the right amount of thickness, the color is still awesome after many washes and they are so comfy. Definitely my best tights hands down. You should definitely check them out!
Lastly are these killer over the knee boots! I can’t say that these were thrifted — truly wish though! But, they were gifted to me. Hubby saw them in my wish list at Heels.com, and surprised me with them. Due to the holiday sales, and some other coupon codes out there, they were under $100 before shipping. Great price in my book for these one of a kind color boots. They are actually very comfy as well, a little surprising, but I’ll take it! Completing the outfit, I added my Kenneth Cole clutch, that I purchased for $9.99 at TJ Maxx in the clearance section.
If you haven’t given layering a chance, hope this has convinced you that it’s not too bad. If you haven’t given thrifting a chance, then you are definitely missing out.
