thrift + prints

I love prints — and finding them in a thrift or consignment shop is really exciting for me.  I know for many people, prints can be really intimidating.  However, I have to tell you, prints bring an outfit to another level for me.  I found this beautiful print skirt at the Salvation Army for $4.00.   The print is funky.  The colors are gorgeous.  The length is perfect.  And the price is FABULOUS!!!!

International Concepts pumps were a definite steal at Macy’s.  Found in the clearance rack section, with an additional 30% off due to a close out sale, and a 10% off because I used my Macy’s credit card, I got these pumps for $14.00.  Yes ma’am, SCORE!  They are actually very comfortable with soft padding. I completed the outfit with some accessories which I also thrifted in various locations over the years.

  1. You’ve nailed it again, chic! This shade of blue looks amazing on you! I love the print and color combo of the skirt. I would have never thought to pair it with a graphic tee…probably would have went with a red top but I LOVE that tee with the skirt! Takes it to a whole other level!

  2. That is a great way to try out trends! And I feel like thrift stores have pretty regular sales, so you can find them for even cheaper! Very cute outfit!

  3. I love the whole outfit! I will admit, I am not much of a thrifter. And I don’t know why since I’m like ALL about bargains. I think I’m going to have to make some time soon to go find myself awesome like your skirt!

  4. I am like a moth to a flame when it comes to prints! I love them!!!

This skirt is great! That shirt is just AWESOME!!! I think it would be really cool to see the skirt mixed with another print!

    Great finds!!!!

    1. You should definitely reconsider not wearing prints. There are some “safe” prints anyway! Try it out by heading to your nearest thrift/consignment shop. If you hate it, you would not have wasted a lot of money.

    1. Kristine,
Thank you. I am very sure that you can probably still get the tee at Ross. The skirt, well you might find something very similar in your nearest thrift/consignment shop. Happy hunting.

  5. Your new skirt is stunning. I love the fabulous print and the gorgeous blues. I also like the cute tee, the gold cuff and the nude pumps. And yes Ma’m, the price was right on all of these pretty items. =)
