This week is all about the swap with my thrift sister! Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays are styling pieces from each other’s closet. Check out Keren’s blog to see how she styled one of my previously owned pencil skirts that is now part of her closet.
Keren recently visited me in San Diego and brought with her some pieces from her closet that she knew I would love. In turn, she got to shop my closet for the equal number of pieces. I have to admit that letting go of some pieces was rather difficult, but very much needed. I hate having a closet packed with items that I don’t wear anymore or not enough. Swapping with a friend is a great way of releasing items, getting some new pieces and of course, still saving a lot of money.
I added this awesome wide feather belt to jazz up the outfit a bit. I purchased this belt from EA Vintage here in San Diego for only $5. I don’t often wear belts, but definitely fell in love with this belt when I saw it at EA Vintage. If you are in the San Diego area, you should definitely check out EA Vintage for some great accessories.
I completed this outfit with these Carlos Santana camouflage booties. I styled these booties here before. These booties cost a mere $21 from Nordstrom Rack. Thrifty is the name of my fashion game!
My accessories were also thrifted here. I got this very cool necklace from the Goodwill for only .99cents. I’m not sure that they knew that it was sterling silver, because it was definitely a steal at .99cents.
Swapping is a great way of saving money, yet adding new pieces to your closet. Have you tried swapping with a friend lately?
