stripes and axtec print + link up

print mixing and thrift sisters link up This week, Keren of Two Stylish Kays, and I, are MIXING PRINTS!
I have had these Aztec printed pants for about a year.  I got them from Forever 21 during their end of season clearance for only $6.99.  I absolutely love the colorful Aztec print and wear them often with various colored tops. print mixing and thrift sisters link up print mixing and thrift sisters link up However, this is my first time wearing these pants with a patterned shirt.  My “Uber Cute” shirt was a thrift find.  I purchased this striped tee from AMVETS for only a $1.00.  I have told you before, that I don’t pay more $2.00 for thrifted tees.  I know, I know, I sound really cheap! Maybe I am.  But, so far I have not had to bend the rules – yet!  I loved how this mixed prints outfit turned out.  Honestly, stripes just goes well with anything.  Not sure you can go wrong in using it when mixing prints.  Any opinions on that?

  1. Those aztec pants are stunning and I love the fierce heels and cute graphic tee. You got another winner, Ayana. The way I am saving money this week is by shopping my closet and finding the most colorful floral piece in it lol. Thaanks for hosting hun!

    1. Ada,
Thank you hun!!! Glad that you are shopping the closet. I need to do a series on that concept. Great way to save money. Will head over to your blog to check out the floral piece. Thank you for linking up with us this week.

    1. Robyn,
No problem! We definitely loved your look and appreciate you linking up with us. Thank you for the compliment. I normally go with a plain tee, but wanted to try and take it to another level as you say…lol.

    1. Carly,
Thank you! The pants definitely stayed in the closet for a little bit before I felt confident to wear it. Now, they are part of my go to looks. Step out of your comfort zone, you just never know.

  2. Seriously, stripes is the new neutral. I am convinced. It definitely goes with everything! Meanwhile, how cool is it that my new post is about mixed prints and then this came along! Great minds. hahaha. Anywho, you look great.

    1. Vivi,
Lol… stripes are the new neutral. I hunt them down in a thrift store like they were the last. Yes, I saw your post and saw that you were also rocking the mixed prints – quite nicely, I must add. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I think that is really impressive that you can manage to never spend more than $2 on a tee! The average thrift store prices in my area $5 – $7 for a tee. Sometimes I might wait for a price cut, but I’m sure you know usually you don’t wait in the thrift store, if you do it will be gone!

    1. Lyddiegal,
Wow, $5-7 for a tee. Hmmm, I probably won’t be a thrifting diva in that area…lol. I am not paying more than $2– it’s a tee, and it’s USED!!!! Some stores try to get away with everything…urgh.
