The name of this blog is Thrifting Diva: A blog about all thing fabulous thrifty! This week, let’s talk about thrifty prices. I will let you in a confession. I do shop in stores other than thrift and consignment shops! I know, I know – I confess.
But, you would be very happy to know that I have a very serious aversion to paying a lot of money for anything fashion. Thus, I refer to my other retail “go-to” stores as my semi-thrift stores. One such place for me is Ross Dress for Less. I have gotten some amazing pieces at this store for very little, and close to thrift store prices.
If you haven’t been to a Ross yet, you need to give it a try. Truthfully speaking, Ross can sometimes be overwhelming as they are packed to the hilt at times, some stores can be very unorganized and clutter everywhere. Does this sound like a familiar place? Yes — the inside of many Ross’ reminds me of many thrift stores.
The colors of this dress caught my eye immediately! Now, you guys know how I love me some colors and this dress does not disappoint with its vibrant colors. The dress fits like a glove and best of all, it’s one of those dress that goes straight from dryer to hanger and can be worn immediately. No ironing needed. Yes!
Now, for the absolutely best part of the purchase of this dress, the price. This ECI New York dress was in the clearance dress section in the store, and I paid $7.00. It was discounted from $35.00. Can you believe getting this dress for only $7. I have sometimes paid more for some pieces at my favorite thrift and consignment shops. Gotta love Ross!
I felt pretty in pink in this outfit and went with these beautiful pink thrifted heels from Goodwill. You may have seen these heels in another post HERE. I added this pink envelope clutch to the outfit and was so ready to step out!
Do you have a favorite retail store that also offers some fabulous thrifty prices?
OMG, you look gorgeous, i love your pink envelope clutch

Rhea,
Thank you! Marshalls is DEFINITELY another “go-to” for me as well.
You are working it in that dress. Patterns can be tricky but, you nailed it with this one. I think ECI is known for having great prints and vibrant colors. Great score!
Tanesha,
Thank you! Yes, the patterns are definitely not for everyone but I still think that everyone should try to find a pattern that will fit them.
This color is divine on you! I am totally in the same place, I just cannot pay too much for an item no matter where it is from. I swear I have gotten cheaper as I’ve gotten older!

Amy,
Thank you! I feel as though I might have allergies to paying a lot of money for clothes. My husband calls me cheap, but it’s not cheap, it’s smart.
This dress was made for you! I do love Ross when I have the patience! My friends have a term for shopping at Ross – they call it Rossing! It’s an art form to them!
Carylee,
Rossing…hhahahaha. It’s like going thrifting, that is for sure. That is a good one. Thank you for the compliment.
That dress is so cute and flattering on you! I wish there was a Ross near me. There are so many great deals to be had there! Thanks for linking up at Confident Twosday!
Laura,
Thank you! I’m sorry there isn’t a Ross near you. If you ever travel, keep it on a place to visit for sure.
Great post, Ross has the best dresses. This one looks great on you too! The stores are little messy, but that makes it more fun to find goodies!

Robin,
Thank you! Yes honey, that place can be a hot mess at times. But, I am a hard core thrifter, so I am used to rummaging through things. Of course, when I find things it’s even more exciting.
So cute and only $7, I need to run over to my local Ross.
Sonya,
You will be so surprised as to what you can find there at Ross and the unbelievable price. You definitely need to run over there.
You look absolutely gorgeous! Loove the dress.
