This week, Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays and I are styling skirts. I absolutely love Keren’s green pleated skirt and how she uniquely styled her cardigan with it. Check out her blog on the details of her beautiful outfit.
I thrifted this aztec print pencil skirt from Salvation Army in San Diego for $4.00 during a 50% off sale. I love the colors, the pattern and of course, the price! It’s such a versatile skirt and have been worn many times, throughout various San Diego seasons.
I often wear a blouse with this pen I paired it with a black t-shirt. I added my “Black Girls Are Magic” t-shirt, which I have styled on the blog before, here.
I paired it with one of my favorite jackets this season. I thrifted this Guess faux leather jacket from Buffalo Exchange near The Strip in Las Vegas. I tend to find a place or two to thrift when I visit somewhere new. It’s part of the joy in visiting a new city! This jacket set me back $12.00, and so well worth it. Love the peplum ruffles in the back, the cross zipper and of course the fit.
Since it was a gorgeous day in San Diego, temps in low 70s, I was able to get away with wearing these ankle-strap black heels. These were a recent purchase over the holidays from Ross Dress For Less for only $17.00. Finally, I completed the outfit with this thrifted Express handbag. I thought this handbag was a steal at $4.25 from Valley Thrift, Escondido, CA.
I know I say it all the time, and will continue to say it all the time. Take a trip to your local thrift store and check it out. You won’t be disappointed if you go there with an open mind and some inspiration from my blog :).
Now, it’s time to jump into our Thrift Sisters link up! Keren and I launched our Thrift Sisters link up, encouraging you to post thrifted or thrifty priced items to this link up. We are very appreciative of those who take the time to link up their great outfits. This week’s featured Thrift Sister is Edwige from Hypnoz Glam!
