In my last post, I confessed that I didn’t shop solely at thrift and consignment shops. However, the one constant in my shopping habits is that I pay THRIFTY prices for my fashion game. You may certainly call me cheap. But, I just have an aversion to paying a lot for items, when I know I can get it at discounted prices. Do you feel me on this?
About a year ago I learned about this online website, AliExpress. This site has EVERYTHING for sale (clothes, electronics, beauty supplies etc.) The catch, the stores that sell on AliExpress are all international. But, when I ran across this gorgeous jumpsuit on the site, I knew I had to try it out.
If you have been following me, you know that I am not shy about bright, bold colors. The jumpsuit cost $16, and add $2.99 for international shipping. Yes, you read that correctly. I was definitely worried that this might be a scam, but figured that I would try it out for less than $20. But my package did come, about 3 weeks later. Beautifully packaged, great material and amazing fit. Yes, it could have come earlier, but that would mean a lot more in shipping fees.
The other challenge in ordering from this site is that the clothing sizes are not always in US sizes. To solve that problem, you simply need a tape measure. To complete the outfit, I wore my blue thrifted Steve Madden heels and a thrifted yellow clutch. Of course in San Diego, a pair of sunnies are a must! I picked these beauties up on sale at Aldos for $5.
