Lately, I have been feeling a little bold and daring when it comes to my style game. I know this season’s fashion trend has definitely incorporated mixing patterns. However, since I have never really attempted to do it myself, I set out to my “go-to” place to check out ideas, PINTEREST! Over the past few months, I pinned so many things to my mixing patterns BOARD and then decided that I too can probably give it a try. Besides if pulled off right, you can exponentially triple your outfits!
I have said it before, and will say it again. Thrifting is a great and inexpensive way to try out new trends. If you don’t like it, how much did you really lose?
I thrifted these culottes a few months back from Good Hope Thrift for $3.50. You might have seen them in my mini thrift video haul here. This funky high low shirt was thrifted from Frock You Vintage for $10. I LOVE THIS SHIRT! You will definitely probably see it many times again before I retire it.
Obviously the shirt and culottes have their own patterns going. But, I paired them together because they both incorporate the color green and black. Add a simply pair of black heels because no need to draw attention to anything else with all the pattern work going on!
I added some gold tone thrifted earrings and cuff bracelet to finish the look! Have you tried mixing patterns before? If so, what are some of your tips to accomplishing a great outfit? If not, what’s holding you back?
Wow I love these colours and the print. Super beautiful and gorgeous.
Imogen,
Thank you for the beautiful compliment.
Wow, you´re a pro at mixing prints! This look and the color combination would be perfect for fall too. 🙂

Cheryl,
Thank you! Yes, I didn’t even think of fall colors, but yes you are right. These will work great.
