maxi skirt + thrift sisters link up

maxi skirt - thrift sisters link up It’s all about the maxi skirts this week in our Thrift Sisters Link Up.  Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays and I are showing you the versatility of wearing maxi skirts in the fall.  Check out Keren’s blog to see how she styled this beautiful maxi skirt with her denim jacket.

maxi skirt - thrift sisters link up I have mentioned before that San Diego’s day weather is still very summer-like, with temps in the high 80s.  However, the evenings are cooler and a maxi skirt is a great summer piece that can easily transition into the fall.  I found this beautiful blue maxi skirt at TJ Maxx on clearance for $10.00.  This is the perfect time of the year to get some awesome summer clearance pieces which can still be used in your fall wardrobe.  Maxi skirts are great transitional pieces.

maxi skirt - thrift sisters link up maxi skirt - thrift sisters link up I styled this maxi skirt with a simple white tank top and this thrifted grey fitted jacket.  I purchased the jacket on my recent San Diego Thrifting Bus Tour at the Salvation Army for $2.00.  I love the fit, and the slanted zipper, and the color will go well with so many outfits.

  1. That blue maxi looks SO comfy. Omg, by the way I’d be way too chicken to show that much leg with the other skirt – primarily because it’s usually windy and I swear I’d have a Marlyn Monroe moment, hahaha!

    1. Marissa,
Thank you! Yes, TJ Maxx has something for everyone at great prices. The skirt is definitely going to be used a lot here in the evenings in San Diego where the temps dip just a little.

  2. I love remixing pieces for different seasons!!! You did a great job with this and I am just gushing over that jacket! Yes for sure when I make it back to San Diego, we gotta make this thrift meet up happen!!

  3. I would never in a million years put those two pieces together and think they look good, but my goodness you pull them off so well! I love the blue color of that skirt!

    1. Gigi,
Thank you! The color is really what got me to look at the skirt in the first place. I visualize grey as a neutral and wear it with everything actually. Never even stopped to think that I might actually not be matching…lol.

  4. I always enjoy joining your link up, especially discovering what you and Keren come up with. You both look stunning. Your cobalt maxi skirt and denim jacket are beautiful. Way to take that maxi into the Fall. You nailed this one!!
