Welcome back to the Thrift Sisters Link Up! This week, Keren of Two Stylish Kays and I are styling dress pants. Please check out this her awesome look on her blog as she styles her checkered dress pants. I opted a very casual pants for the styling. When she and I decided to showcase dress pants, I realized I didn’t really own a lot of true dress pants. I wear a military uniform everyday for work, and really don’t own that many work dress pants. However, who says that dress pants must only be conservative. Besides, I dress conservative five days a week, so why not be able to step out on the weekends.
I know everyone is drooling over the fall weather around the country. However, in sunny San Diego, we are actually going through a heat wave, with temperatures running in the 90’s these days. Thus, I am featuring this very “summery” outfit this week. I found these super funky blue and white H&M pants at AMVETS here in San Diego for only $2.00. I love the color, the pattern, and the tapering at the bottom.
This is definitely a print mixing outfit here. I styled these printed pants with a printed shirt. I have used this shirt to show off print mixing before, here.  I purchased this shirt from one of my absolute favorite consignment stores in San Diego, Buffalo Exhange. This is a BCBG Generation shirt that I got for $8.00.
My favorite part about this shirt is definitely the opening in the back. Sexy and cute without going overboard. It’s such a great shirt for those very hot days as well.
I paired this outfit with these blue and white Aldos pumps which I thrifted from the United Cerebral Palsy thrift store for $4.99. A simple necklace, thrifted from Good Hope Thrift for $2.00 and earrings for $1.00, my completed outfit.
Now, let’s jump into our Thrift Sisters link up! Keren and I launched our Thrift Sisters link up, encouraging you all to post thrifted or thrifty priced items to this link up. We are very appreciative of those who took time out to link up their great thrifted items. This week’s featured Thrift Sister is this diva from Finding Her Niche. Loving how she styled a thrifted dress as a trench coat. Now that is genius, and super fly! Check out her blog for even more stylish outfits.
Now it’s your turn to join us this week. Please link up your favorite thrifted or thrifty priced item. Here are the rules. Go ahead and link away for a chance to be featured as our next Thrift Sister!

I’m sorry, did you just say your outfit was $10?! Those pants and top are just too amazing! You have mad shopping skills! 🙂
I used to come home with way too much stuff from the thrift sroets and always ended up with garbage bags of things to take right back. Well, I still do! But I know what you mean . . I love that the things you find are always perfectly your style.
That lace dress is gorgeous! I was at a viatnge dress sale on Friday and there were many similar lace dresses from the same era but I can’t afford to spend $150 on a dress right now *sigh* I’ll just live vicariously through you hah.
That top is awesome! I love the back!!
The process of ridding a teen of senioritis is slow, excruciating, and difficult. It’s a virus so antibiotics and medication are worthless. It is insidious, attacking other seniors; homework is late, projects slip, late nights, and chores not done.
You can make white wine more like red by letting the skins steep awhile before removing them and adding more alcohol, which increases polyphenol extraction, but most white wine is far lower in polyphenols. That’s okay—”lower” isn’t zero and the alcohol itself has some benefit in low doses—and shouldn’t prevent you from enjoying white wine. If you want to try a red-esque white, go for something like this “skin ferment” Roussanne.
