She has not only taught me how to pick fashions, she has also instilled that I am worth taking the time and effort in making myself look and feel good.

The Thrifting Diva changed my life! Before hiring Ayana I used to be one of those stay-at-home-moms who always put themselves last. My wardrobe consisted of yoga pants, oversized t-shirts, and slip on gym shoes. I never took the time to put any effort into my appearance and my self-worth was at an all-time low. My world transformed after my “Personal Style Consultation and Wardrobe Revamp” session. Ayana arrived at my home excited and wanted nothing more than to help me become the woman I never imagined. Together we did a closet audit, and with her style knowledge I went from a closet full of un-wearable clothing to a wardrobe that I was excited about. Together we removed items that were outdated and pieces that no longer fit. She not only helped me purge clothes I haven’t worn in years, she also showed me how to organize my pieces and accessories for easy access. I now have a closet that I am proud of!

I also took advantage of the “Personal Shopper” session. During our time together, Ayana showed me how to properly shop for fashions, including how to pick the perfect jeans, which cuts of tops and jackets look best, and educated me on what is a statement piece and how to wear it. She has given me the tools to properly shop for my body type and what works best for my curves. The time we spent together was priceless!

Ayana has helped me gain back my confidence I lost many years ago. She has not only taught me how to pick fashions, she has also instilled that I am worth taking the time and effort in making myself look and feel good. Because of this I have more confidence, which has helped me become and better wife and a better mom. And once you feel this way, you can tackle the world! – K. Cox, San Diego, CA

Before meeting her, I did not think shopping at a thrift, consignment, or estate sale would be so fulfilling and satisfying to my purse and my lifestyle.

I cannot retell this miracle enough..and yes I consider this a miracle.  Mrs. Pitterson aka “The Thrifting Diva” literally saved me on my BIG Day, my wedding day.  Since working with Mrs. Pitterson, she has offered me several recommendations and pretty much schooled me on how to be fashionable on a budget.  Before meeting her, I did not think shopping at a thrift, consignment, or estate sale would be so fulfilling and satisfying to my purse and my lifestyle.  My eyes were open and I was ready to soak it all in, once she taught me how to properly shop at a thrift store…patiently and persistently.  Slowly but surely I grew disgusted at mall and storefront retail store prices and converted to a thrifting diva jr. myself.  I am far from her level of fashion sense but I am learning soooo much about the ties between confidence and your appearance.  She will absolutely be completely honest with you and has made me get completely out of my wardrobe comfort zone, specifically on my wedding day.

The day before my wedding day, she came to me and asked what I planned to wear, I replied “a white dress from goodwill and nude heels”.  She gagged and lectured me on how to never ever wear white shoes with a white apparel.  I was astonished and did not really understand — being as nude goes with everything I thought.  She insisted we go to the shoe store and find shoes with color to make the dress “POP”.  Before leaving we looked at shoes online and she pointed out heels with green and mustard leaf print and my immediate response was “gross…those look granny”.  We ended up seeing the shoes at the store and she insisted I try them on first.  So I listened, and I instantly fell in love with them.  After the shoes we went to another store to look for accessories and in the midst of our search “The Thrifting Diva” found my wedding dress.  It was a white elegant, embroidered mini A-line dress.  I tried it on and LOVED IT!! She found this beautiful pearl necklace with earrings to match and gave me a mustard clutch to highlight the mustard in my shoes.

I am telling you, I have never in my 27 year life met anyone like this amazing, personable, helpful woman that just wants to see you be the best you!! I am so grateful for this wedding miracle.  I am so happy she took the time to make sure I looked like a million bucks at my wedding! The pictures are beautiful and I felt beautiful.  Thank you “Thrifting Diva”!  M. Edwards,  Annapolis, MD.
