Classy Dress + Diva

Do you own a dress (or two) that completely makes you feel amazing?  I firmly believe that every woman should have a dress that makes you feel confident, beautiful, and super gorgeous.  This Zara dress simply slays and a dress that hits the nail on the head on creating a diva as soon as I slip it on.

Can I tell you, the moment I saw this Zara dress online, I instantly knew that this dress would be that perfect “girl, you are hot” dress.   It’s a dress that would make anyone feel like they were ready to take on the world.  It’s gorgeous, sexy, elegant and best of all, classy.   I love this cape dress.  The best part of the dress is the back (or lack of a back), of course.

The problem for me when I initially saw this classy dress online was the price tag.  Guys, you know me.  I really do believe that I am allergic to paying full price for anything…even when I absolutely love the piece.  The retail price was $150,  a price that I couldn’t bear paying.  However, I have told you before, and will tell you again.  Waiting for sales and clearances must be a part of your thrifting diva toolbox.

I waited, and waited, and stalked waited for this beautiful dress to go on sale.  I was finally rewarded for my patience.  My classy dress on sale was now $29.99, and trust me, I have never ordered something online so fast.  I couldn’t wait for it to come in the mail, and the day the box arrived, I tore it open like a child waiting for Christmas presents.  I tried it on immediately, and yes, I instantly felt like a diva!  This dress was everything.  The $30 price tag probably had a lot to do with my joy as well.

I opted to go with these blush pink Aldo heels.  I wanted the dress to do all the talking, so I didn’t want the focus to be transferred to my feet.  These Aldo pumps were simply a perfect match for this dress.  I got these heels as a birthday present from hubby a year ago and really love them.  However, be warned.  They are not entirely comfortable, so be careful where you choose to rock them.

I accessorized with this thrifted Express clutch.  I thrifted this cute clutch from AMVETs in San Diego for only $2.50.  It’s a great print, and went perfectly with this outfit.

    1. Jessica,
Thank you so very much. Glad to find another thrifter here. Only hope and wish that everyone found the excitement in thrifting. It’s a great way to save, look great and save the environment.

  2. Found your blog when you posted on a local Facebook page. And I think maybe our kids go to school together – anyway, this dress is FABULOUS. Also would love to know where you get your hair cut locally if you care to share. It rocks.
