I have been stalking these booties for a few months! They were made by Altuzarra for Target and came out — and sold out — last September, within hours. The 50 piece Altuzarra for Target collection included belted trenches, lace camisoles, pin striped shirt dresses, and sexy heels, and ranged in prices from $18 to $90 for apparel and $30 to $80 for shoes and accessories. This was a drastic price cut from the normal price range. I did not to get to purchase right away, but thanks to Ebay, I finally was able to score these beauties. When they first appeared at Target they were priced at $89, but a few months later, I purchased them new, in a box on Ebay for $29.
Once I finally had these booties, I literally started going through my closet to build outfits around it. I choose this grey ruffled Banana Republic dress for the first outfit which was a gift from a friend. I love an awesome price tag, but FREE is the best one of all.
I choose to add this thrifted Michael Kors sheer black shirt underneath. I thrifted the shirt from United Cerebral Palsy thrift store in San Diego for $5.00 on a day where everything was 50% off. To be honest with you, there are couple of buttons missing on the shirt. But, since it’s a great little piece, I have always worn it under various clothing items. Great way to continue to be lazy about sewing some buttons and still get some use out of this shirt, won’t you say?
I choose dark tights to complete the outfit and paired it with this leather handbag. It’s actually very crazy that the pattern in the bag matches the pattern in the booties! Winning on all accounts with that pairing for sure.
I previously talked about this handbag in an earlier post here. The handbag was a steal at $4.25, from Valley Thrift, Escondido, CA.
Stay tuned to see how I style these Altuzarra for Target booties in a completely different way.
